The book by Mazina Giizhik Murray Sinclair
WHO WE ARE: FOUR QUESTIONS FOR A PERSON AND A Nation
(McLelland & Stewart, 2024)
Over the first four weeks, we will explore the four questions which apply to any Human Being in telling our stories about our own respective journey through life as well as for those who seek to understand the history of Canada and to move forward together with Indigenous Peoples in a good way.
For the last two weeks, we will explore the last section of the book WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED: PRINCIPLES OF TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION from the work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
During the Talking Circles, Gii-wedino Kwe Vivian Roy from Wikwemikong First Nation will join us as our Indigenous Participant. Gii-wedino Kwe is a Cultural Knowledge Bearer and social worker from Native Child and Family Services of Toronto, bringing a great deal of knowledge and experience to our gatherings.
Please register with the Trinity Office Administrator Kelly Clark in Aurora by calling her at 905-727-6101, providing your email address and telephone number in case there are difficulties connecting through the ZOOM link.
Every week, Kelly Clark will send a brief summary of our previous Talking Circle and some questions to guide our exploration of the book in the upcoming Talking Circle.
