DEANERY CONFIRMATION PREPARATION

One of the riches of the Anglican tradition is the opportunity to renew and reaffirm our faith in the rite of Confirmation. Confirmation is an opportunity for us to renew the covenant made in baptism. That commitments made in baptism, either by our godparents if we were baptized as children, or by ourselves if we were baptized as adults, often come into focus in a new way at different moments in life’s journey.

Perhaps we are a young person and coming to grasp what it means to be a person of faith in our own right.

Perhaps we have just returned to church after being away for many years.

Perhaps we have had an occurrence in our life that has made our faith come alive in a new way.

Perhaps there is a young person in our lives who is making their own commitment, and this has led us to the desire to renew our own faith.

Perhaps we have made a journey from another denomination into the Anglican Church and wish to mark that transition by being received into the Anglican Communion.

As a Deanery, we offer preparation for Confirmation, led by members of the Deanery clergy (including Fr. Dan and Rev. Michelle) on one Saturday afternoon a month at All Saints’ King City.

A Deanery Confirmation service will be held at Trinity in February 2026 with Bishop Riscylla. If you (or a young person in your family) are interested in learning more or attending the classes, please speak with Fr. Dan or Rev. Michelle.
