HOLY WEEK 2023
In a society which largely ignores it, you are warmly invited to spend Holy Week with us at Trinity as we retrace the footsteps of Jesus into the very depths of our Christian faith.
Here is our daily liturgical lineup:
This service marks the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, a joyful procession around the church. It leads quickly to the passion narrative and the stark reminder of the realities of this Holy Week.

Musically we will be joined by the choir, the handbells, four instrumentalists and guitars.

Tenebrae: “Service of Shadows of darkness”
This moving ancient service includes the gradual extinguishing of candles, scripture readings, beautiful chanting of psalms, and a “strepitous.”
Musically we will be joined by the harp and canters.
Maundy Thursday, April 6th

Holy Eucharist - this dramatic and moving service marks the Institution of the Lord’s Supper, the foot washing of the disciples, the stripping of the altar and a quiet time for silent reflection in the Garden of Gethsemane.
Musically we will be joined by the piano, choir and instrumentalists.
Good Friday, April 7th
10:00 AM Main Chapel (in person + live-streamed on Youtube)
Solemn Liturgy and Meditation on the Cross - the most solemn day of the church year as we stand at the foot of the cross and watch.
Musically we will be joined by an organ choir, flute and Handbells.
Holy Saturday, April 8th
8 PM The Great Vigil of Easter (in person only)
This dramatic service will start in the Historic Chapel with the lighting of the new fire, singing of the Exultate, listening to the ancient readings and processing to Trinity Church Main Chapel for the first celebration of the glorious Resurrection. Area Anglican Churches have been invited to join us.
Musically we will be joined by cantors and pipe organs.
Easter Sunday, April 9th

The chief service of the year as we celebrate God’s great love for the world in the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
