  Can we make things new with our parents?
  The Rev'd Canon Dawn Davis continued the New Beginnings sermon series and explored the different roles of the parent-child relationship. Canon Davis provides benchmarks and guidance for helping us understand these complex relationship(s) and also helps us understand that there are no easy answers and that each relationship is different. She also suggests that extreme actions may not be the way, either. In closing, she reminds of us of our other parent, God the Father, who is always there for us and cherishes us.

  The Rev'd Canon Dawn Davis concluded the New Beginnings sermon series by talking about the difficulties of changing and how, through God we can make things whole by being open to God's power and grace and
  begin to accept ourselves, limitations and all. She also pointed out the difference between change on the surface and that deep transformational change that comes when the effort is made to be whole.
